Eric Hofstein

Eric began training in martial arts as a teenager, exploring Japanese, Chinese, and Korean styles along with Western boxing, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu before finding his home in Muay Thai. A former EMT, he brings both discipline and compassion to his coaching.

He trained under four-time world champion George Tsutsui of the Fairtex team, learning not only advanced technique but the philosophy of purposeful, mindful training. Over the years, Eric has coached fighters from their first day on the mats to professional championship wins.

At Empower Muay Thai, his mission is to bring that same level of expertise to people who may not feel they belong in a traditional fight gym — the shy, the awkward, and especially those from vulnerable communities: women, children, and LGBTQIA+ students. His approach makes Muay Thai a space for growth, confidence, and belonging.
